The H5P content type NDLA Timeline allows you to place a sequence of events in a chronological order. For each event you may add text, images, videos and sound clips.
The content type is based on the TimelinsJs library developped and licensed by the Northwestern University Knight Lab. (timeline.js project website)
Features
This is a H5P content type that includes the possibility to:
- Add a title slide to the timeline
- Have more than one period on the timeline
- Tag events with badges that are shown on the event page
- Choose the timeline scaling mode (3 available modes)
- “Human time” shows date in years before and after the Common Era using regular notation
- “Cosmological time” shows dates using scientific notation.
- “Indexed” is useful when you want to skew timeframes and make all events seem equally far apart.
